My little story about Pashmina Fabrics.

Trekking half way to Mt. Everest along the beautiful Khumbu Valley, I saw an exquisite cloth in one of the tea houses and it was Pashmina. In our return to Kathmandu, I was in quest of finding these wonderful fabrics in the charming streets of Thamel. It was one of the most interesting trips we had.

This beautiful Pashmina fabric I am using as skirt is one of my favourites. The fabric is super soft, very airy, very comfortable and feels amazingly cool.

Pashmina is a woven fabric from Pashm. Fleece of the Tibetan or Changthangi Goat which is an urdu word and has its origins in Farsi.

I am excited to one day make a High Sorority creation out of beautiful Pashminas.

(I will see to it first that no Tibetan or Changthangi goats are killed or harmed on the process. It is said that the goats shed their thick fur during summer as the tribe harvest it for weaving.)

In what designs would you like to wear this? I’d love to hear
